Amarante [] ist eine Stadt in der portugiesischen Region Norte mit etwa 9.900 Einwohnern. Sie liegt am Tâmega, einem Nebenfluss des Douro.
Seit 2017 trägt die Stadt die UNESCO-Auszeichnung City of Music.
