Der Künstler und Schriftsteller William Morris nannte Bibury „the most beautiful village in England“ (dt.: Das schönste Dorf in England). Die honigfarbenen Steinhäuser aus dem 17. Jahrhundert waren die Wohnstätte von Webern, die die benachbarte Arlington Mill mit Stoff versorgten.
