FOXO1(forkhead box protein O1)またはFKHR(forkhead in rhabdomyosarcoma)は、ヒトではFOXO1遺伝子にコードされるタンパク質である[5]。FOXO1はインスリンシグナルによる糖新生解糖系の調節に重要な役割を果たす転写因子であり、また脂肪前駆細胞から脂肪細胞への分化アディポジェネシス英語版)の決定に中心的な役割を果たす[6]。主に複数の残基へのリン酸化によって調節されており、その転写活性はリン酸化状態に依存している[7][8]
