Lemovices

Os lemovices foron un pobo galo orixinario de Europa Central que se estableceron entre o 700 e o 400 a.c. no Lemosín e o Poitou, tiña como capital Durotincum (Villejoubert) e na época galoromana Augustoritum (Limoges), outras localidades habitadas por eles foron Acitodunum (Ahun), Excingidiacum (Yssandon) e Uxellum (Ussel). No 52 a.c. uns 10.000 combatentes lemovices enfrontáronse a Xulio César en Alesia, onde morreu o seu xefe Sedullos.
