Az Oophaga a kétéltűek (Amphibia) osztályának békák (Anura) rendjébe, ezen belül a nyílméregbéka-félék (Dendrobatidae) családjába tartozó nem.^[1][2][3][4] A korábbi rendszerbesorolások szerint az idetartozó fajokat a Dendrobates nevű nembe sorolták be.^[5]
