Sauerbraten de Rhenania

Un sauerbraten[1] [IPA:ˈsaʊ̯ɐˌbʁaːtn] (de germano sauer: "acide" e Braten: "carne rostite") es un pecia de carne in prime loco marinate e postea rostite. Le carne pote esser de bove o de cavallo, minus frequentemente de porco, conilio o animales salvage.

Ingredientes del marinada es aqua, aceto, vino, cibollas e species, per exemplo lauro, junipero, granos de pipere nigre e caryophyllo.

Supplementos es usualmente knodeles o patatas, caule rubie e additionalmente compota de malo.

Le sauce in Rhenania sovente contine sirop de malo, uvas sic e pan de specie.
