I was first drawn into editing Wikipedia articles because of the poor shape or absence of some topics related areas of interest. I especially find value in sourcing material, as not only does that improve Wikipedia and its reliability, but provides what I find is a valuable collection of source materials for work outside the Wiki.
I've uploaded over hundreds of images to Wikipedia and the Commons in order to illustrate various articles (pictures are worth 1000 words, right?). Some I've transferred myself, some from historical sources that have fallen into the public domain, and some I've taken with my sad little digital camera.
