Both the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline from Russia (by Gazprom and E.ON)[needs update] and several power plants (by Ørsted A/S and EnBW) are under construction. Moreover, Lubmin is the administrative seat of Amt Lubmin, to which nine other municipalities belong.
