Loza

Loze (lat.: vīnea, od vīnum "vine" = loza) je svaka biljka sa skadentnim rastom habitusa, odnosno penjajućim stabljikama, kao kod lijana. Riječ "loza" može se odnositi i na takve stabljike ili same povijuše, naprimjer, kada se koristi u slobodnom radu.^[1][2]

U mnogim dijelovima svijeta, uključujući i Bosnu i Hercegovinu, termin "loza", u svakodnevnom govoru, ako se drukčije ne naglasi, obično se odnosi isključivo na vinovu lozu (rod Vitis),^[3] dok se termin "penjačica" koristi za sve penjačke biljke.^[4]
