Dramodydd, bardd, diplomydd, a llyswr o Loegr oedd Syr George Etherege (1636 – tua 10 Mai 1692) sy'n nodedig am arloesi'r gomedi foesau yn ystod Oes yr Adferiad.[1] Ysgrifennodd dair drama: The Comical Revenge; or, Love in a Tub (1664), She Would if She Could (1668), a The Man of Mode; or, Sir Fopling Flutter (1676).
