Orthomyxoviridae
Orthomyxoviridae (fra græsk orthos, "lige", og myxa, "mucus")[1] er en virus-familie med 7 slægter alle med RNA-genomer: Influenzavirus A,[2] Influenzavirus B,[2] Influenzavirus C,[2] Influenzavirus D,[2] Isavirus,[3] Thogotovirus[3] og Quaranjavirus.[4] De fire førstnævnte medlemmer er virus som medfører influenza i vertebrater som fugle, menneske og andre pattedyr. Isavirus inficerer laks og thogotoviruses inficerer både vertebrater og invertebrater såsom myg og sølus.[5][6][7]
