The 82nd Golden Globe Awards is an upcoming awards ceremony for excellence in film and American television productions of 2024. The winners will be revealed during a live telecast, aired on CBS on January 5, 2025, which will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser.[1]
The nominations were announced live on December 9, 2024, at a press conference at The Beverly Hilton by actors Morris Chestnut and Mindy Kaling, following an introduction from Golden Globes president, Helen Hoenhe.[2] Emilia Pérez, with ten nominations, became the most nominated comedy or musical film in Golden Globes history, just one shy of the overall record of eleven, set by Nashville in 1975.[3] The Brutalist received the second-most in film with seven nominations, followed by Conclave with six.[4] Meanwhile, The Bear led television nominations with five, followed by Shōgun and Only Murders in the Building with four each.[5]
