Anatoly Vasilyevich Kvashnin (Russian: Анатолий Васильевич Квашнин; 15 August 1946 – 7 January 2022) was a Russian military officer, who served as the Chief of the General Staff of Russian Armed Forces from 1997 to 2004, when he was dismissed by President Vladimir Putin. In the period from 2004 to 2010, he was the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia to the Siberian Federal District.
