Baranavichy (/bəˈrɑːnəvɪi/ bə-RAH-nə-vitch-ee; Belarusian: Баранавічы, IPA: [baˈranavʲitʂɨ] ; Russian: Барановичи, romanizedBaranovichi [bɐˈranəvʲɪtɕɪ]; Yiddish: באַראַנאָוויטש; Polish: Baranowicze; Lithuanian: Baranovičiai) is a city in Brest Region, western Belarus.[2] It serves as the administrative center of Baranavichy District, though it is administratively separated from the district.[1][2] As of 2024, it has a population of 171,361.[1]

It is notable for an important railway junction and is home to Baranavichy State University.
