Barcaldine (/bɑːrˈkɔːldɪn/ bar-KAWL-din)[2] is a rural town and locality in the Barcaldine Region in Queensland, Australia.[3][4] This is the administrative centre of the Barcaldine Region. Barcaldine played a major role in the Australian labour movement. In the 2021 census, Barcaldine had a population of 1,540 people.[1]
