The Buriganga (Bengali: বুড়িগঙ্গা, Buŗigônga, lit.'Old Ganges') is a river in Bangladesh which flows past the southwest outskirts of the capital city, Dhaka. It ranks among the most polluted rivers in the country.[2][3]
