Better Off Dead is the twenty-sixth book in the Jack Reacher series written by Lee Child. It is the second Jack Reacher book to be co-authored by James Grant and his younger brother Andrew Grant and published using their pen names of Lee Child and Andrew Child respectively.[1] [2][3]

Better off Dead was released on October 26th 2021, published by Penguin Random House and Bantam Press.[4] It is written in first person and is the first Reacher book which is co-authored by the Child brothers to be written in that point-of-view as the majority of Reacher books are written in the third-person
