Margherita Pusterla is an Italian historical novel by Cesare Cantù, first published in 1838. It is set in the Duchy of Milan in the fourteenth century. For many years it was the most popular novel in Italy after Alessandro Manzoni's masterpiece, The Betrothed.[1]
