Victor Wang (Chinese name: 王宗孚, Pinyin: Wáng Zōngfú) is a curator, art historian, and museum director.[1][2][3] He began his tenure as Executive and Artistic Director at M WOODS Museum, a leading contemporary art institution in China, with locations in Beijing and Chengdu, in 2019, serving in the role until 2025.[1][2][4]

With cultural exchange emerging as a common thread in his work, Wang has curated collaborative exhibitions with institutions such as Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Tate Modern (London), Nationalgalerie, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (Berlin), and the first collaborative exhibition between the British Museum (U.K.) and a non-state-run art museum in China.[5][6][7][8][9][10]

Wang is recognized for his pioneering exhibitions, cross-cultural collaborations, and innovative contributions to contemporary and performance art.[3][11][12][11] He is also the founder of the Institute of Asian Performance Art (IAPA) and has edited or contributed to several influential publications.[13][2][4][14]
