Faraizi movement

The Faraizi movement (Bengali: ফরায়েজি আন্দোলন, romanizedfôrayeji andolon) was a movement led by in Eastern Bengal to give up un-Islamic practices and act upon their duties as Muslims (farāʾiḍ).[1] Founded in 1820, the movement protected the rights of tenants to a great extent.
