Haitham al-Maleh (Arabic: هيثم المالح, born August 15, 1931)[1] is a Syrian human rights activist and former judge.[2][3] He is a critic of the former Syrian government under Bashar al-Assad and was imprisoned after calling for constitutional reforms.[4] During the Syrian Civil War, Maleh was active in Syrian opposition groups and was a member of the Syrian National Council.[5]
