Joseph Richard Wright (July 29, 1940 – July 15, 2023) was a member of the Kentucky State Senate from 1976 to 1993 representing the state’s 5th district.[1][2] From 1982 to 1993 he was the Majority Floor Leader for the Democratic Party.
