Lezhnevsky District (Russian: Ле́жневский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 750 square kilometers (290 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a settlement) of Lezhnevo.[1] Population: 15,508 (2021 Census);[6] 19,001 (2010 Census);[2] 20,102 (2002 Census);[7] 22,551 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Lezhnevo accounts for 47.1% of the district's total population.[6]
