The Mayor of Sylhet is the highest-ranking official of the Sylhet City Corporation. The Mayor's office administers all city services, public property, most public agencies, and enforces all city and state laws within Sylhet city.^[1]

The Mayor's office is located in Nagar Bhaban, Bandor Bazar; currently it has jurisdiction over all 42 wards of Sylhet City, which previously was 27 ward.^{[citation needed]}
