Urogymnus is a genus of stingrays in the family Dasyatidae from marine, brackish and freshwater habitats in the Indo-Pacific and tropical East Atlantic regions. Molecular phylogenetic research published in 2016 reassigned several species from Himantura to Urogymnus.[1]
