White Antiguans and Barbudans are Antiguans and Barbudans of European ancestry. In 2011, it was estimated that there were 1,398 white people living in the country.[1] White people have continuously lived in Antigua and Barbuda since 1632, although the descendants of the old plantocracy have since been outranked on the social hierarchy from wealthy expatriates that operate many of the country's hotels and other businesses.[2][3]
