In the FA nomination statement Wehwalt expressed a hope that the article would help readers to appreciate that "there's more to the man than met the eye when they impeached him".
- Battle of the Bismarck Sea (Hawkeye7)
- Hawkeye7 developed this article to FA status to mark the 70th anniversary of this important battle of World War II. This deadline was met, and the article appeared on Wikipedia's front page on 3 March.

- One of the few A-class articles to have been developed by more than two editors, this article describes the Australian Army's structure, equipment and campaigns during World War II. The section on the campaigns was adapted from the Military history of Australia during World War II article (an FA), and the remaining material was developed from scratch drawing on many sources.
- George S. Patton slapping incidents (Ed!)
- In his nomination statement Ed! noted that this article provides "an interesting insight into military politics". It covers two controversial incidents in which the US Army general struck soldiers under his command, and the effect this had on his subsequent career and reputation. The article is a good example of how important parts of a topic can be developed into a high quality stand-alone article.
- Hans Waldmann (fighter pilot) (MisterBee1966)
- This article covers the short life of a German fighter ace who was killed only a few weeks before the end of World War II in Europe. MisterBee noted that he consulted "most if not all of the publications available on Waldmann" when developing the article.
