Xiaohongshu (XHS; Chinese: 小红书; pinyin: Xiǎohóngshū; lit. 'little red book'),[1] known in English as Rednote,[2] is a Chinese social networking and e-commerce platform.

Xiaohongshu has been called "China's answer to Instagram".[3] As of 2020, 70% of the platform's users are reportedly born after 1990,[4][5] and nearly 70% of them are female.[4] In January 2025, the app gained an influx of new users from the United States and other parts of the world due to the anticipated shutdown of TikTok's US operations in accordance with PAFACA, a U.S. federal law passed in April 2024 and upheld by the Supreme Court in January 2025.[1][6]
