Los epiornítidos (Aepyornithidae), conocidas como aves elefante, son un clado de aves paleognatas extintas no voladoras endémicas de Madagascar.[1][2]​ Según los últimos estudios moleculares, los epiornítidos son grupo hermano de los kiwis neozelandeses.[3]
