Julian Beck (31 de maio 1925 – 14 de septembre 1985) era un actor, pictor, poeta, anarchista, pacifista, e dramaturgo. Ille e su sposa Judith Malina fundava The Living Theatre (Le Theatro Vivente) in 1947.
Su obra in filmes commercial include partes in The Cotton Club e Poltergeist II. In 2004 ille era postumemente facite un membro del American Theatre Hall of Fame[1].
