Dipalmitoilfosfatidilkolina (DPPC ) adalah sebuah fosfolipid (dan lesitin ) yang terdiri dari dua gugus asam palmitat C16 yang terikat pada sebuah gugus kepala fosfatidilkolina .
DPPC adalah konstituen utama surfaktan paru, yang mengurangi kerja pernapasan dan mencegah keruntuhan alveolar selama bernapas. DPPC juga memainkan peran penting dalam studi liposom dan lapisan ganda manusia.[ 2] [ 3]
