Area code 812 is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) serving the state of Indiana in the United States. It covers the southern and south-central parts of the state, including cities such as Bloomington, Evansville, and Terre Haute. It was created in 1947 as one of the original area codes assigned to Indiana. It was overlaid by 930 in 2015.
