Clark County is a county in the U.S. state of Nevada. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, the population was 2,265,461.[1] It is the most populous county in Nevada. Las Vegas, the state’s most populous city, is also the county seat.
The county was formed by the Nevada Legislature by splitting off a portion of Lincoln County on February 5, 1909,[2] and came into existence on July 1, 1909.[3]
The county is famously the location of the Las Vegas Strip, with huge casinos and hotels that attract many tourists every year.
