Close-mid vowel

A close-mid vowel (also known as mid-close vowel, high-mid vowel, mid-high vowel, or half-close vowel) is a class of vowel sounds used in some spoken languages. The tongue is placed about one-third from a close vowel to an open vowel for a close-mid vowel.[1]
