Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈdina eɾˈsilja βoˈlwaɾte seˈɣara] listen; born 31 May 1962) is a Peruvian politician, civil servant and lawyer who is the 64th and the current President of Peru since 2022.[1][2] Previously, she was the 35th First Vice President of Peru and the 14th Minister of Development and Social Inclusion from 2021 to 2022.
Boluarte is the first woman to become the president of Peru.[3] She was sworn in following a failed self-coup d'état by President Pedro Castillo which caused his impeachment, removal from office, and arrest.
