The Division of Bonner is an Australian Electoral Division in Queensland. It was created in 2004 and is named after Neville Bonner, the first Indigenous Australian elected to the Parliament of Australia.[1] Bonner was a Queensland Liberal Senator. There are only three other divisions named for Aboriginal people, Bennelong in New South Wales, Blair in Queensland and Lingiari in the Northern Territory.
The Division of Bonner covers the eastern areas of Brisbane, including Chandler, Carindale, Manly, Mount Gravatt, Wishart and Wynnum.
