Eric Lynn Wright (September 7, 1964 – March 26, 1995), known professionally as Eazy-E, was an American rapper. He was born in Compton, California. He rose to fame with the hip hop group N.W.A and is one of the founders of the "Gangsta rap" subgenre. He usually rapped about guns, drugs, relations between residents and the police, and sexual activity. He was known as the "Godfather of Gangsta Rap".[2]
