"How Pure, Chile, is Your Blue Sky" is the national anthem of Chile. First adopted in 1828, the national anthem originally did not have any words in it. The melody of the song was composed by Ramón Carnicer. Later, the Chilean government wanted words for the song, so eventually, a poet by the name of Eusibio Lillo wrote the lyrics to the national anthem in September 1847.^{[1][2][3][4][5]}
