Template:Infobox official post/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Infobox official post. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template is intended to be used for a variety of official posts. It is not meant only for "political offices" per se, but can also be used for civil service, diplomatic, ecclesiastical, judicial, law enforcement, military and other posts of an official and permanent nature.

Note that the template is intended to be used on articles about the post, rather than the person holding it for the moment. For the infobox for use on articles about the actual person who is holding the office or held it in the past, see Template:Infobox officeholder.
