Påståendet att jorden enligt mayakalendern ska gå under 21 december 2012, som utan källa har lagts in i texten, är så vitt jag vet helt falsk. Sandra Noble, executive director of the Mesoamerican research organization FAMSI, notes that "for the ancient Maya, it was a huge celebration to make it to the end of a whole cycle".
