Arkansas Highway 229 (AR 229) is a north–south state highway in Arkansas. The route runs 57.61 miles (92.71 km) from Highway 8 in Fordyce north to Interstate 30 (I-30) in Benton. The highway was created on July 10, 1957 during a period of highway system expansion, and extended throughout the 1960s. The route is maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT). A small portion of the route is designated as an Arkansas Heritage Trail for its use during the Civil War.
