Illumination of the Darkness in the Beliefs of the People of the Sunnah is a poem in Ash'ari creed by Imam Shihab al-Din al-Maqri al-Tlemcani (d. 1041 AH). The imam Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi said about it in his commentary: “The systematic creed, the immaculate reason, the hidden pearl, and the treasured jewel, unique in monotheism and exaltation, a composition of the scholar, a reference of understanding, the leader of acting scholars, and the Imam of jurists and hadith scholars, our late teacher Ahmad al-Maqri the Moroccan may God have mercy on him.”[1]
