List of Tamil films of 1955

Prior to the amendment of Tamil Nadu Entertainments Tax Act 1939 on 1 April 1958, Gross was 133.33 per cent of Nett for all films.^[1] Commercial Taxes Department disclosed ₹0.98 crore in entertainment tax revenue for the year.^[2]

The following is a list of films produced in the Tamil film industry in India in 1955, in alphabetical order.^[3]
