Nursing is a regulated profession in the Republic of Ireland. The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) (in Irish: Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) is the statutory regulator responsible for regulating both nursing and midwifery.^[1]
