Captain Robert Laurence Nairac GC (31 August 1948 – 15 May 1977) was a British Army officer in the Grenadier Guards.[1][2] He was abducted by Republicans from a pub in Dromintee, South Armagh, during an undercover operation he was undertaking and killed by the IRA. His death occurred during his fourth tour of duty in Northern Ireland as a Military Intelligence liaison officer. Several men were imprisoned for his murder and abduction. His body has never been found.
