The 2024 season was the Miami Dolphins' 55th season in the National Football League (NFL), their 59th overall, their ninth under general manager Chris Grier and their third under head coach Mike McDaniel. The Dolphins failed to improve on their 11–6 record from last year following a loss to the division rival Buffalo Bills in Week 9. They then guaranteed a worse record following a loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 13. The Dolphins failed to make the NFL playoffs for the first time in three seasons after the Denver Broncos defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18, extending their 23-year playoff victory drought which is the longest active drought in the NFL. The Dolphins also suffered their first losing season since 2019.
