Bodinayakanur, a town in the state of Tamil Nadu, India, was fondly dubbed the 'Kashmir of the South,' by India's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru.[1] Despite its modest size, the town has played a significant role in Tamil Nadu's political arena, having been the constituency for 16% of the reigning Chief Ministers of the state.[2]
