Daniel Timothy Kildee (/ˈkɪldiː/; born August 11, 1958) is an American politician serving as a U.S. representative from Michigan since 2013, representing the state's 8th congressional district since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the Genesee County Treasurer from 1996 to 2013, before succeeding his uncle, Dale Kildee, in Congress.[1] From 1977 to 2009, Kildee was a municipal elected official. On November 16, 2023, he announced he would not seek re-election in 2024.[2]
