Eknath Gangubai Sambhaji Shinde[2] (pronunciation: [eknaːt̪ʰ ʃin̪d̪e]; born 9 February 1964[3]) is an Indian politician who is serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra since December 2024 alongside Ajit Pawar. He is the chairperson of Shiv Sena[4] since February 2023 and was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from June 2022 to December 2024. He is also the Member of Legislative Assembly for the Kopri-Pachpakhadi constituency[5] of Thane, Maharashtra, since 2009 and was formerly the MLA of Thane constituency from 2004 to 2009.
