Mohammad Rizwan (Urdu: محمد رضوان, pronounced [mʊɦəmməd rɪzwɑːn]; born 1 June 1992) is a Pakistani international cricket player. He is a right-handed batter and wicket-keeper who is the current captain of the Pakistan team in limited overs cricket. He also captains Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans[1][2][3] and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team in domestic cricket.[4] He has previously been the vice-captain of the Pakistan team in Test cricket[5] and T20Is.[6]

He played for Lahore Qalandars in the PSL from 2016 to 2017, for Karachi Kings from 2018 to 2020, and since 2021 captains Multan Sultans.[7] He also led the Multan Sultans to victory in the 2021 Pakistan Super League.[8]

In 2021, he was named the ICC Men's T20I Cricketer of the Year[9] and was also among the Wisden Cricketers of the Year.[10]

He has scored centuries in all three formats: Tests, One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals.[11] He holds the record for most runs in T20 Internationals in a calendar year with 1326 runs in 26 innings at an average of 73.66.[12][13][3] Rizwan is the only player to score 2000 runs in a calendar year in T20s.[14]
